Premise Rough Models

I started making models of the two birds and a tank. I want to use these models to soon test textures on, seeing if the tin toy style of texturing will work well.

@Phil @Alan Premise Animatic three (Work in progress)

This is my animatic so far, I wanted to upload it to get feedback on the beginning. Making sure that I'm conveying information efficiently as well as applying feedback already given to me. The last shot seen in this will be where the two birds then initiate a dogfight. Since the last animatic I have done research into dogfights that will help me in telling the rest of the story. During WW1 a German soldier came up with a list of rules in order to secure victory. I wanted to apply this to my eagle character and make the pigeon more of a rebel or maverick in his methods of fighting.

Premise: Texture Tests

Based on the suggestion of looking at tin toys I tried to texture some of the poses I drew. I think this is decent start but without testing them on a 3D head it hard to tell. That being said, I plan on modelling a basic head for both my characters and testing the textures in maya soon.

Premise: Production art thumbnails

I drew some thumbnails of assets that will be apart of my story. I tried to keep with the rule of my world by using simple shapes for the tanks and guns. I plan on taking these thumbnails into photoshop and using my influence map to help me texture them based on tin toys, games and film.

Premise - Bird Bodies further development

After some talks, I was advised to step away from my sketch book and try using a different medium on a bigger scale. I then got charcoal and tried to draw my characters with simple shapes and clean lines. I think I'm getting close with my pigeon character, but the eagle needs some work.

Premise Animatic two

I accidentally deleted my post with my second animatic so I'm posting it again.

Premise - Bird Bodies

(Set 01)

(Set 02)
(Set 03)

The first set of bodies was me trying to better establish the anatomy of my characters. After yesterdays interim crit I was advised to look at Charley Harper to see how he uses simple clean shapes in his work. The third set was my attempt at using flowing lines for my protagonist. I then took two of the thumbnails into Photoshop and used the pen tool to make my lines cleaner.

Premise Script Update - Version Four

Last Friday I talked with Alan about my loose animatic surrounding the story and the action. Later that day I uploaded two new story ideas working on the action. I decided to go with the first idea and now I've developed it from bullet points into a script.

Premise Antagonist Development

I posted some antagonist thumbnails earlier and since I got feedback already, I thought I would try and develop them further. I like the way 2 and 3 are characterised, but I think I could explore more characterisation. I also got feedback on my protagonist thumbnails which I plan on doing a similar thing as I did in this post.

Premise Antagonist Thumbnails

Since my recent story changes I have added an antagonist to the story. These are some initial ideas, these have helped me think of other possible routes I can take this design. I think 5 and 7 are the closest to keeping the style I want to use, however I want to experiment with some different looks for the antagonist.
