I kept the same base for the pigeon since that is going to be the same. However, there were some small changes to the design in terms of textures and adding to the pigeons chest.

...in addition (see Eagle comments) your pigeon needs to be 'green-gey' to mimic English uniforms. The overall shape of the chest (crest) should be heart shaped (he is your plucky hero). the ring around the neck should be a scarf (think Bladrick in Blackadder), the details on the chest badges again (almost like boyscout badges - Think George in Blackadder) because he is young and 'boyscout soldier'. Above all costs, try to steer clear of being 'generic'!.
